AA and 12-Step Alternatives - Clinics and Rehabs
The non 12-step clinics listed here are varied from inpatient to outpatient, cost, location, size, length of stay and theoretical philosophy. On the other hand, they share in the philosophy that one-size-does-not-fit-all and that there are effective alternatives to the 12-model of addiction recovery. In general they do not conceptualize addiction as a disease rather a disorder or a maladaptive coping strategy that has gone awry. Some will encourage attendance at 12-step meetings.
