    Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has admitted that he was battling dependency on pain and sleeping medication. "To have your feet done, to have your leg done, you have to be on narcotics. You have to be on sleep aids at night... I was off and running, and I didn't like the me that was me."
    Larry King's stunning TV-personality wife, Shawn Southwick King, 48, has gone into rehab for addiction to painkillers. King, 74, has been married to Southwick, his sixth wife, for 10 years. A friend of King's confirmed to Page Six, "Shawn is in rehab for medication issues related to her chronic migraine problem."

    Rehab Is A Riot

    Rodney King checked into "Celebrity Rehab" yesterday for drugs and alcohol, and a sober Gary Busey will be helping patients on the show, slated to air in October on VH1.
    Based on their records, neither John McCain or Barack Obama can really be considered a leader in the drug-policy arena. Still, both appear to have a broader and more nuanced understanding of addiction issues than their White House predecessor, and William Cope Moyers, vice president of external affairs at Hazelden, says that he has "never been more hopeful that addiction treatment will begin to get the attention it deserves, because we at least have two candidates who are aware of the issue."
    Tatum O'NealTatum O'Neal told a newspaper columnist she is grateful to the New York City police officers who busted her for cocaine and saved her from herself. "I'm still sober! Just when I was about to change that and wreck my life, the cops came and saved me."
    The wife of Bill Murray has filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage citing the actor's adultery and addictions to marijuana and alcohol.
    Dispelling rumors and tabloid reports that she sought help earlier this year at Cirque Lodge treatment center for alcoholism and substance abuse, Dunst  says, “I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression.”
    Sex and the City star Kristin Davis has revealed the extent of her struggle with alcoholism, and candidly reveals how she didn't think she would live past 30, and that alcoholism runs in her family.
    Her behavior has prompted speculation that actress Kirsten Dunst is losing her battle with alcohol addiction just five weeks after leaving a 12-Step rehab.
    "Five or six years ago, I saw the writing on the wall. I knew the party was over," actor Robert Downey Jr. tells PARADE for this Sunday's issue. "It was time for me to come out of the Dark Ages and get real." For much of his adult life, Downey, 43, was caught in a ruinous cycle of drug addiction, imprisonment and disgrace. Downey claims that by 8 he already had used drugs with his filmmaker father.
