I am a certified substance abuse counselor and a recovering addict, of 12 years. I attained my sobriety in 1995, at age 45, in the VA Hospital, Fresno CA. I have been a counselor for most of my sobriety. I have been a treatment program Director. I have worked going into California prisons recruiting inmates for aftercare treatment programs. I favor couseling for the rewards of one on one helping of someone to regain a life or acquire one for the first time!
