I wish everyone in the rooms could wake up, since I have left the rooms not only have I remained sober but i have been much happier as im living in the real world and dealing with the real day to day things, compulsions dont last 20yrs, so why do people relapse? because AA tells them they will...great video :)

I am a 74 year old ,32 year sober member of AA. I have been trying for the last 15 years to convince people in AA that the 12 steps are a lot of BS. This all happened when I stopped believing in religion of any type.
After all these years I am trying to separate myself completely from AA. I am hoping this site will be able to help me. I have sworn over and over again not to attend anymore AA meetings only to end up at my regular meets where I am surely not welcome anymore.

This has been a very difficult habit to stop.

sober at 19 in 1981....if the internet was up then im sure i wouldnt have waisted so much of my life in aa meetings..im just glad now that im free of a disease i never had..and free i have bornagain type of mentality at the aa meetings....good luck!!
